Opt-In Consent for Payment Link

This page explains how you consent to receive and use a secure payment link for a trip or service that Koach facilitates on behalf of one or more transportation or service entities (“Service Entities”).
1) What You Are Opting In To
If you choose to pay by link, you are asking Koach—acting on behalf of relevant Service Entities—to send you a secure, one-time payment link by text message (SMS) or email so you can pay for your trip on your phone or computer.
You are not required to use this option. You may instead pay using other methods offered for your trip.
2) How Opt-In Happens
You opt in only after:

An operator or automated system asks you if you want to pay using a secure link, and
-
You clearly say “Yes” or otherwise confirm that you want the link, and
-
You provide or confirm the phone number or email where the link should be sent.
Once you opt in, we send you a link that includes trip details (such as trip ID and fare) so the correct checkout page can be shown for your specific trip.
3) What the Link Does
The payment link:

Shows your trip summary (fare, trip/vehicle identifiers, and pickup/location data if relevant).

Lets you add an optional tip.

Lets you enter your card details through a secure payment form.

Charges Total Fare + Tip once you press the “Charge” button.
This link is intended only for the trip shown on the payment page.
4) Your Authorization to Charge
By using the link and pressing “Charge”, you authorize Koach and/or the applicable Service Entities to charge your payment method for:

The total fare shown, and
-
Any tip amount you select or enter on that payment page.
The total amount will always be displayed before you submit payment.
5) Message & Data Consent (SMS/Email)
If you opt in, you agree that Koach (and/or Service Entities through Koach) may send you:

A secure payment link, and
-
Confirmations or receipts related to that specific trip.
Message frequency: Only messages related to your requested payment link and receipt.
Message/data rates may apply depending on your carrier or provider.
You can opt out of future payment links by telling the operator during any call or by replying STOP to an SMS link message.
6) Your Responsibilities
When you opt in, you confirm that:

You are authorized to use the phone number or email you provide.

You are the person paying for this trip (or are authorized by the rider to pay).

You will review the fare and tip before submitting payment.
If something looks incorrect, do not complete payment—contact dispatch/support right away.
7) Fraud Prevention & Verification
To protect riders, drivers, and Service Entities, we may verify trip details before processing payment.
We may refuse, void, or reverse a transaction if we detect potential fraud or unauthorized use.
8) Proof of Consent / Audit Log
To document your opt-in and authorization, we may store a consent record that can include:

Date and time of your opt-in

Phone number or email used
-
Trip identifiers (Trip ID / Reservation ID / Vehicle/Driver ID)
-
Consent method (voice confirmation, button click, SMS confirmation, etc.)
-
Technical details such as IP address and device type when the link is opened
These records are used only for payment processing, dispute resolution, compliance, and fraud prevention.
9) Privacy
We use your information only to process your payment and operate Koach services on behalf of Service Entities.
